Sign-on for New Members

Peregian Nippers holds an annual sign-on early in September each year; dates are advertised beforehand in school newsletters and local papers. Watch this space for sign-on dates for the 2009/2010 season. Current members will receive renewal packs in the post. 

Competencies

All nippers need to demonstrate their swimming competency in a pool before they hit the surf. Take a look at our competency chart to find out what you need to do.

Uniforms

Nipper uniforms can be purchased from Club administration during office hours, 10.00am and 3.00pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or download a swimwear order form here. Please be sure to contact administration beforehand to ensure the item you want is in stock and to arrange collection.    

Carnivals and Competition

Nippers do not have to participate in carnivals however we do encourage everyone to have a go. If you are keen to get amongst it, take a look at our Nippers Calendar page for information and find out how you can join in the fun and excitement.

Parent participation

Nippers is entirely run by volunteers, mostly nipper parents, who cater for all the activities that our children participate in. Without the help and support of parents there would be no nippers so we encourage all parents and guardians to join the club. This not only ensures that everyone is covered by Surf Lifesaving Insurance and that all our helpers hold a Blue card, but also means that everyone can help, not just the people in "official" roles. All nipper parents are expected to help with fundraising for nippers including working at the Club sausage sizzle on market days during the summer. View the BBQ roster here....
