Fitness Programs Surf SwimmingEnjoy the surf and maintain your fitness in a fun, social environment. Club members of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in casual surf swim sessions on Saturday mornings at Peregian Beach (conditions permitting). Swimmers meet at 7.45am for an 8.00am start and finish around 8.45am. Swim for as long as you like, bring swim fins and goggles if you wish and stay for coffee afterwards if you have time. Pool School with Jools Jools, our swim coach extraordinaire, is helping our Active members prepare for proficiencies again this season. This fun and sociable way to improve your swim fitness and technique is held each Sunday from 20th July until Sunday 27th August, 8am @ NAC. The fee is $3.00 which is a special entry discount for all Peregian Beach SLSC members. Generously, Jools offers her coaching advice at no charge. Bring a few dollars extra for a coffee afterwards....contact administration for more details. Adventure Racing For fun and fitness this winter why not join Adventure Team Peregian. If you enjoy multi-discipline sports such as iron man/woman events and triathlons, you might like to consider having a go at adventure racing for fun and fitness. Adventure racing is a combination of two or more disciplines, including orienteering and navigation, cross-country running, mountain biking, kayak paddling and climbing (as in ropes courses). Generally a team event, adventure racing is attracting all types of athletes, males and females. Some events also cater for single-gender divisions and age-based categories so kids can also have a go.
