About Youth Development at Peregian Beach SLSC

The youth of Surf Life Saving are not only the key to our future but are often already leading the way. With their high energy levels, their love of the beach and in many cases, their outstanding surf skills, they are critical to all aspects of surf lifesaving.

At Peregian we have a small but growing group of youth and they all get involved in everything the Club has to offer. Youth activities are coordinated by a Youth Development Officer but largely planned by the kids themselves.

The things you can do when you are a Cadet or Active Junior at Peregian Beach SLSC

Peregian Cadets and Active Juniors meet regularly to socialise, stay fit, help with Club activities and do their own fundraising for the things they like to do such as this trip recorded below....

Straddie Assault - Cadets & Active Juniors end of season bash

Grey skies, cold south easterly winds and torrentila showers did nothing to dampen their spirits when 12 Peregian clubbies took over Pt Lookout Clubhouse fortheir end of season activity. Two hour surf sessions, hearty feasts, electrified sounds, all-in sing-alongs and constant laughs are just some of the fantastic moments that won't be forgotten.
